With Great Powers Comes Great Responsibility!! Unleash the PO's Skillz that Killz

I have Industry Experience of around seven years, and worked on various projects as a freelancer IT Business Analyst in Australia and US. I am a Management Post Graduate and currently working with Tata Consultancy Services from more than two years. I am enjoying my stint as an energetic Product Owner in Agile teams from last 2 years. I definitely feel empowered in a Product owner role and mesmerized by the challenges that come across while ensuring a successful product delivery. Not just delivery but a quality one.. Reason I look forward to continue as a PO is the commitment it requires and makes me more passionate in the projects I undertake.

The fact that Agile has entered the Mainstream, PO Role has become extremely critical and thus more powerful and responsible. In a typical Scrum team, the responsibility of a rocking delivery is shouldered by the entire team, but any failures? Hmm..though the team has the responsibility but accountability lies with PO. Why? After all PO being the closest to the business, it is thy's skills that makes or breaks the backlog by efficiently steering and facilitating the team in the right direction. Thus I want to cement audience’s belief in PO's, by demoing the impact PO role has created on the quality and timelines in delivering a product, through the artfully crafted user stories, versus the traditional use cases. In this conference, I will unleash such bees knees stuff of a PO or the skillz that killz, to ensure an effective backlog that yells out the client's wish list . I will also present the various alter egos, PO's can don to transform their unhealthy teams into healthy teams, which in turn become disciplined, talk team vision, are change initiators, and focussed on customer discovery.

Individuals with software skills will benefit the most, however applying agility in any domain, or daily tasks will be a great take away for any participant.

Benefits for the attendees

This discussion will help practitioners to effectively use the power and skills to improve their deliverables. It will also help the PO's to overcome the challenges they may be facing in their current projects. It will also help the practitioners to understand the changes they need to initiate in their teams to continuosly improve and get indoctrinated in the modern agile manifesto.
